The Heathcote region has had a rich and prosperous place in the history of Australia. During the 1850s, Heathcote was the scene of fevered activity as an important gold field town and today Heathcote is best known for producing another rich and prized gem – Heathcote Shiraz.
This is both polished and bold, yes both, with warm/rich fruit flavours and plenty of them but also a neatness; a control; a clear impression of refreshment. Sweet plum and black cherry flavours blend effortlessly with clove, sandalwood, cedar and a kind of undergrowth/earthen/dried herb aspect.
