Celine et Laurent Tripoz Bourgogne Rouge Chant de la Tour 2023

A southern Burgundy red made with serious care. Céline and Laurent Tripoz farm in the village of Loché in the Mâconnais and have been certified biodynamic (Demeter) since 2001 – genuinely early adopters. ‘Chant de la Tour’ comes from a Pinot Noir parcel planted that same year, which means the vines have never seen a synthetic anything. Fermentation is with native yeasts on fully destemmed fruit after a cold soak, with around ten months in oak. The wine is bright and transparent, all red cherry and crushed strawberry, with a savory lift and silky finish. Honest, terroir-driven Bourgogne Rouge for not much money.
