Domaine Passy Le Clou Chablis 2022

Domaine Passy le Clou is one of Chablis’ newer success stories: the Descombes family took over in 2017 and quickly pulled their 30 hectares of vineyards (spread across 21 individual plots) into the upper ranks of the appellation. Their village-level Chablis comes from classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils and is everything you want from a working Chablis: lemon, green apple, oyster-shell salinity and that nervy, chalky cut that pairs with seafood the way nothing else can. 2022 was a generous, sun-kissed vintage, so this drinks with both freshness and a little extra flesh.
