Back in the 1940s, Lucien Peyraud rallied local growers to create the appellation and save Mourvedre from extinction, and the family has been Bandol’s beating heart ever since. The rose is Mourvedre-led and built for the table — a serious, structured pink with the presence to stand up to real food rather than just an aperitif. Dry, mineral, and savory, it’s one of the benchmark roses of the world. Endlessly limited and always worth chasing.
