Made From Organic Grapes
The Barbera d’Alba DOC in Italy’s Piedmont is famed for its tangy, cherry-like red wines made from Barbera grapes. For over a dozen vintages, this Barbera has been a standout in our Reserve Series, always over-delivering as a delicious, versatile, and chillable red that pairs with a variety of food and occasions.
This wine is made by a third generation small family winery who also produces our Lot 26 Barolo. Harvested from grapes grown in calcareous clay soils near the town of Monforte d’Alba, the berries undergo a soft crushing followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation using select yeasts. The result is an intensely fruit forward wine bursting with dark fruits.
