The second wine produced by the renowned Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, a 2nd Grand Cru Classé estate in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is one of the top estates in Bordeaux, known for its exceptional wines that we enjoy often. Typically made from younger vines and parcels that don’t make it into the grand vin, but the quality remains high. Designed to be more accessible in its youth than the estate’s flagship wine.
A standout in the context of the vintage, with it’s dry, warm summer, resulting in wines with ripe fruit and good concentration, while the cooler end to the growing season in the fall really helped maintain acidity and freshness. A balanced, approachable character, while still retaining enough structure to evolve with age.
