Oddero Barolo Brunate 2021

Brunate is one of Barolo’s most formidable crus, and Oddero’s half-hectare parcel yields only 2,400 bottles of this powerhouse. Dark and intensely balsamic, with signatures of black cherry, tar, licorice, and violets, the 2021 opens with reticence but builds to a plush, velvety palate with remarkable sapidity and balanced acidity. From a vineyard planted sixty years ago at 300 meters with southeastern exposure—expect it to evolve beautifully over the next 15 to 20 years.
