The first product to come out of actor Sam Heughan’s company Great Glen, this limited edition blended Scotch whisky has been matured in casks that used to hold Madeira wine for a distinct character, rich aromas and an exceptionally smooth palate.
The Sassenach Blended Scotch is the first product to come from Great Glen and the realization of Heughan’s lifelong dream. He was personally involved in picking the perfect blend of Scotch whiskies for this limited edition release. Matured in casks that used to hold Madeira wine, it has a distinct character, rich aromas and an exceptionally smooth palate that is meant to evoke “ancient peaks, hidden glens, and rising morning mist, fresh water and firm oak”. You can expect notes of citrus, almonds, as well as vanilla, with plenty of sweet and fruity notes including peaches and honey as well as butterscotch on the palate.
