A gorgeous, biodynamic red blend from a single family-owned vineyard high in the Italian Alps! From Grosjean, a third-generation winemaking family in Valle d’Aosta, Italy’s northernmost wine region, this luminous red brings together a trio of local grapes farmed on the lowest slopes of the exceptional Rovettaz vineyard, the Grosjean’s oldest. With a week-long maceration and further aging in tank, this is a blast of cool mountain air in a Pinot Noir-esque package but darker, more herbal and distinctly spicy. Wildberry bush, fresh fig, cracked pepper & dark, brooding florals with espresso-stained tannins & mushroom umami. Pairs perfectly with matchy-matchy outfits & marathons of Mad Men.
